Edinburgh or Stirling in November?

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

I'd love to come to another meet! I was lurking on the Perth thread, but decided I couldn't afford the train fare, and then never got around to posting  .

Would be lovely to see you and your boys again, Disco. Last time we met A was just a teeny wee thing!

I'd selfishly go for Edinburgh as we're pretty much tied to mornings out at the moment with nursery in the afternoons, and I'd like to be able to come even if just for a bit. Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays best for me. But since we probably can only come for a bit, don't use my availability to decide, if there's another day better.

What happened to all the Edinburgh people? Have they all grown up and gone away? How big a trek is it for you, Disco? Just thinking if it's just the three of us and I have to rush off to be back for nursery at 12.20, it's a bit rubbish you coming all that way. Though you and Booksnob can go and do something nice after I've gone (sob).

Go on then, Disco. Just pick a date. Any date. Just not a Tuesday or Wednesday. And after 4th Nov. And we'll do it. Even if nobody else comes. My two are still talking about Perth and fishing with sticks with S.

I'm still here (not posting much obviously...) Adam is at school now but I'm not working Thurs/Fri and would love to meet. I could do with something to look forward to as I seem to have been permanently full of cold for about the last 2 months :(

Let's kick this off again. I was feeling bad about missing nursery, but it now feels like the last day was ages ago, and everyone else takes days off and they don't HAVE to go, so think I'm worrying unnecessarily so we'll come for as long as anyone's around, otherwise it is just a bit silly. Since no-one else is prepared to declare on dates, I'll go for my preferred Thurs or Fri. So next week that's 14th or 15th, or the following week is 21st or 22nd. Any preferences?
And where? Museum again or somewhere else? I was wondering about the City Art Centre which I haven't been to for years but remember as being quite child friendly and has a nice cafe if there are just a few of us, and it's right next to the station. Or if it's a nice day, there's a massive playground on the Meadows, about a 20 min walk, and a nice cafe nearby at Summerhall if we get too cold. Or you could come to Portobello and play on the beach, and /or my house if the weather's not great, but it is an extra 1/2 hr on the bus for Disco which might be a bit much.

woops forgot about this.

Any date/day is fine for me I think.
I'd love to come out to portobello but I think tit might just tip us over the edge with the extra public transport. Maybe one day I'll have enough balls to drive without adult supervision   :(

Your other suggestions sound good. I'm happy for you and whoever else to pick a place, I'll just turn up where I'm told. Although A is at that mental destructive running around phase - so just bear that in mind when deciding. Saying that I have a feeling he saves his worst for home, he'll be an angel out and about right?

I'd be up for it, the park and summerhall sounds nice if the weather holds, I'll just have F but will have to get back for school pick up at 12.15 if it's a Friday.
