About Us

Nearly five years ago now, I was dreading weaning my little baby girl. All the grinding and sieving and mashing and spooning… all the washing up… just wasn’t my bag. I heard about Baby Led Weaning from a friend who had read about it in a magazine, googled it and lo and behold there were about nine results.

This startling lack of information led me to think that perhaps the internet could tolerate a blog on the subject and www.babyledweaning.com was born, blogging the ins and outs of, well, the ins and much-celebrated outs (I CAN SEE BROCCOLI IN THE NAPPY!) of the first foods our children would eat. It was, if I say so myself, a roaring success, generating more comments than the blog servers would handle, so we started a forum as well, which has grown into a supportive and often hilarious community, of which we are all rightly proud.

I’m a journalist, hence the gobbiness, and I live in Glasgow with my two daughters and husband (in that order, or so he would have it…)

I do hope you enjoy the new site, it’s so much prettier than the old one, isn’t it?
