It’s because I started it aeons, ago, fact fans. Back when there were about nine hits for the search term ‘baby led weaning’, I kid ye not.
Remember dial-up? Yuh-huh. That singy-songy, plinky-plonky fax noise before making contact with the outside world? Yup, that. (As an aside… remember faxes? *snort* Funny old tech.)
Anyway, the thing then was to allow pages to load nice and quick, no footery images pliz. We did have a photo gallery (indeed we still do) but you needed to enter it under your own advisement. The images were (still are) mostly low-quality, cropped down so they wouldn’t take up too much room on your interweb.
So, here’s the thing, I need to sprinkle the site with purty pictures, I think. It’s looking boring. Are there any photographers out there, or even parents who just got that one lucky shot (perhaps of a porridge pancake or some other recipe foodstuff), who wouldn’t mind helping me back fill my pages with glorious technicolour? (And vids, too. Oh yes I’ve just learned how to embed. Take that, old skool).

What would it take to convince you to try Baby-Led Weaning? »
I’ve probably got a couple good images you can use! It’s what I do for living – take pictures that is. Where can I email them?! And, how large/small do you need?

well it’s not that the ones of H weren’t MAGNIFICENT, of course… but have you seen what blogs are like nowadays?! it’s terrifying. everything’s a photoshoot. when i think of my crappy wee canon ixus shots, i could BLUSH.

We’re so proud of how she’s done with blw. We have so many great pics which we are more than happy to share. The weetabix ones are something to behold. Our particular fave is her sharing tapas with us at a restaurant when she was just short of 7 months, attracting a combination of admiring and bemused glances from our fellow diners!!

Hi, i followed the advice on your website and my son enjoyed all the foods we ate and noting mushed up. what a beautiful expereince it has been. he is 17 months and enjoys all sorts of foods.

We started our twin daughters on BLW around 5 months of age. For the first few weeks, it was more of food/texture experiment time rather than dinner. It’s been a lot of fun! cheers! these are great. i’m having a think about watermarking, security etc (see chat on FB page) so what i might do is whack things up with a blw.com watermark and change that if anyone needs/wants proper credit.

My daughter was never one to wait for anything – she started eating solids on her own by stealing from my plate! We thoroughly enjoyed the Baby-Led Weaning Cookbook and still use it now and again (she’s just under 2 years old). We have loads of pics of her eating on her own and would be happy to share, just let me know how.
I am not sure if you are still looking for photos and videos but I have both. I too have been blogging about my adventures in BLW and being a photographer I have made sure I got a lot of photos. Not all my videos are as high resolution as I would like because at times I didn’t have the good quality camera close by and just grabbed my phone. But let me know I would love to share some.
