Gluten

Hi all,

I've seen a few people say they are avoiding giving gluten in the early months. Anyone have any links to research about this? No one is (knowingly) gluten or wheat intolerant in the family! I've read the book but it's a big vague.

From what I understand, research suggests that delaying the introduction of common allergens past 6 months actually increases the risk of allergies. I'd chalk the delaying gluten phenomenon up to people having a vague, ill-defined distrust of gluten...

I <think> that it might be one of those things that you are supposed to leave until approx 6 months. I mean, you're supposed to leave everything until approx 6 months, but if you really must start at 4 months, you are advised against including gluten. Maybe. Is that what people mean by 'early months' Or have they translated that forward two months?
