Sproglet asked me out of nowhere if some people have babies in their tummies. I said yes, and when she was a baby she was in my tummy until she grew big enough to come out. She seemed fine with that. Then 5 mns later she asked me why I ate a baby. I asked her why she thought that. She said because that's the only way to get a baby into your tummy. And its not nice to eat babies mummy.
L, looking at the hair on dh's arms: "Wow, you have so much hair - you must be a yeti crab!" (Thanks Octonauts for teaching us about strange sea creatures.)
Mama to big boy L born Sept. 2012, and baby girl A born June 2015.
I woke up to "Mum you've got chicken pox, your face is covered in spots!" A check in the mirror showed that actually I've just got a few more freckles from being in the sun.
Cone snails is 'our' favourite here Treeb. She must watch that episode every day lol. Trying to limit Octonauts as I'm getting fed up of it. Also trying to work out how to make an octopod cake for her birthday. Maybe I'll do something a bit simpler lol. It's how to attach the little pod things I'm not sure about, I think I could do the middle bit ok.
Sentences SM - I'm sorry Mummy, I have to go to work now. I've put in my work boot slippers and got my bag, bye bye. (She is now upstairs playing in her sleeping bag, I wish I had a job like that lol)
CM (playing with my stroppy sandals) Me - what are you doing with my shoes? CM - no Daddy's Me - they're Daddy's shoes are they? CM - yes Me - and what does Daddy do when he's wearing those shoes CM - dancing
Clearly a side to DH I've yet to see lol.
Mummy to Slinky Malinky (Sept. 12) and Chunker Munker (June 14.)
We did octonauts for mumcher's 3rd birthday KC - you can do circle cakes for the octonauts faces if you want simpler than a gup! We weren't sure we could do a gup but we used a tutorial on the bronnie bakes website to make toppers. It was hard work (took two of us four nights to make the whole thing) but they looked great.
If you wanted to do an octopod kc, maybe you could use a cake stand with card round it for the base, and do icing legs stuck to the outside? Then the cake would just be the main body of it, sitting on top of the stand iyswim?
