I like the tissues idea -- I might try that! We still use wipes for poo and I put a little tiny garbage can next to the potty for him to put them in because he refuses to call me and I can't be bothered to clean up a whole roll of toilet paper all over the bathroom. Im trying to teach him, though. I've seen that some people tape a line on the wall under the toilet paper dispenser and tell their kids to only pull it down to there. I tell Saurus to unroll it until the end touches the floor and stop. (It's a little much, I guess, but easy to enforce anywhere). Our problem is that he doesn't know how to tear it off; he just pulls it down, which of course just unrolls more and more toilet paper. I've been telling him to put one hand on the roll to stop it, but so far he hasn't caught on.
I have heard that it's not good to flush tissues down the toilet, though. Could you pre-tear some toilet paper? Or have a special garbage can for them?
Saurus (April 2012) wants to open all the cupboards to see the pipes.
Zilla (December 2013) is unstoppable. And really likes pizza.
Turtle (November 2015) isn't cute yet, but he's working on it.
And Mia and Oreo are my emotional support cats.
