Pregnancy updates -December

RR yey for name progress! We can't really try names out as Toots would end up telling everyone (I swear she has supersonic hearing sometimes!) so the debate will just have to continue

I'm in no hurry for baby just now! Yes, I'm tired and achey, but I'm happy to have a few more days/week or so of just the three of us before I have to divide my attention! Plus I've always thought the date they gave me at my first scan was wrong (baby was fast asleep in an awkward position plus the sonographer's "well that'll have to do!" when she did the measurement to work out the date didn't fill me with faith!) as they put me back by 10 days from original due date

It's going to come tomorrow now, isn't it....

I have had a massive growth spurt in the last few days. Definitely feeling quite whale-like now (22 weeks) and wriggling has started with a vengeance. I've been a bit worried as mw and consultant have been asking for a while if I've felt anything, and I just haven't. But it's definitely in there now. Current challenge is to wean my children off demanding I do everything for them. They are perfectly capable of dressing themselves and putting their own shoes on, they just won't. And it's now distinctly uncomfortable to sit down and lean forward.

Just back from scan, all well, wriggly baby in there, adjusted my dates by one day forwards and 20 w and 36w scan booked, is the 36 w one new, I am quite sure I didn't have one of those either other time... Or is it just kings and their research?

No 36 week one here unless something is flagged up by mw - ie level of liquor or breech. May be something researchy?

I've had enough, but I'm not ready for baby to be here. I'm stressed enough already without adding even less sleep, breast feeding and all the kerfuffle of a new person into the mix!

Peaceful vibes, treek!

T&n'sm, I had a 36w scan last time round because the placenta was low. Not having one this time as all looked fine at 20w. It seems unusual to book you in for one at this stage though - afaik it's normally something they decide on at 20w, as until they do the anomaly scan they can't tell whether the extra one is necessary.

Been having sporadic contractions since yesterday evening and now had a show...I should really learn not to tempt fate!

Still here! Contractions are really erratic and I can't decide whether to bounce on my ball to try and speed things up, or try and get some rest! Think I'll get something to eat before the queasiness gets any worse and see how things go....

Yey for wriggly baby t&n! 36 week scan is definitely a standard kings thing as I had one with C - I think it was something to do with obesity rates in the area and checking baby size. Probably research as well though!

Exhaustion has hit with a vengeance today, any tips? My brain won't function, I feel like I have to sit completely still to quell the feeling of nausea, not actual sickness still but this is getting debilitating. So much to do...
