Inspiration for all you runners

Postby ToothFairy » 07 Jul 2014, 22:39

This is my SIL's cousin. He's running the marathon in the Commonwealth Games this summer.

Now I'm not saying any of us will be competing in the next Commonwealth Games, but it just shows what's possible if you put a bit of effort in!!

awesome...I've really lost my way this year with running... no energy.
I'd start back today if I hadn't only had 5 hours sleep and a mountain of work to do... Gah!

WowowowwowowowWOW! What an awesome story. Congratulations to him and good luck for the games.

Definitely has inspired me to ratchet up the running again. Thanks for sharing, TF. You are definitely right, it shows what's possible if you set your mind to it. I can't claim anything remotely near this level of achievement but I did go from overweight and totally sedentary to running my first marathon in a period of a little over two years- so it is do-able.

I'll be cheering for for your SIL's cousin when the games begin!

I love articles like this. I really want to get back into my running next year and I really really want to run in the London Marathon in 2016/17.

A friends husband has just completed 7 marathons in 7 days. Cornwall to Devon for Diabetes UK and all within 4-4 half hrs! Bloody amazing but nuts at the same time.
Love being a mummy to the beautiful F (april 12) and especially love BLW.

Wow! That's really inspiring. I don't have anything like his level of natural talent but stuff like this persuades me that I might not after all have left it too late to be a half-decent triathlete.
