I applied to not on the high street again with my newly revamped shop, just got the rejection email humph. I really thought I had a chance this time. It's just endless rejections atm No point to this, just needed to whinge.
Thanks. It is of course lovely to hear you like what I do, I just want to sell it now! I'm not a fan of noths really, but they have so much traffic, so many more customers than I could ever reach, and it would be so nice to sell more of my things.
They don't give reasons, they're far too busy... I wouldn't shop there myself, but their traffic is MASSIVE, and a lot of people don't like buying from etsy because it's American. I've been rejected by them before, but really thought I had a shot this time. ah well. Not heard anything from the job I had an interview for either. Not my best week ever!
Also don't like NOTHS they take a huge commission and dh has bought me a couple of things that are frankly rubbish, they went in the bin. I would not want to be associated with them.
What about folksy? Is that any good? I subscribe to a craftbox, it's and I think your paper cuts would be perfect for them. I don't know how that side of it works though. It wouldn't hurt to ask. You need us all to pin and share your stuff, don't you. To get more visibility. (((()))) I know nothing of noths. So it mustn't be that good.
(((robyn))) i don't like them, but have also been rejected from them in the past. I wouldn't rule out applying again for the reasons you stated. Does anyone know how much commission they do charge? and you need to pay them upfront to sell with them on top of that I think... F*** it they're probably not worth it at all.
(((((Robyn))))) they are obviously not worthy of your talent. I have never been that fussed by noths....some stuff seems a step away from the handmade stuff that I like and v pricey. Your fabric, prints and papercuts are amazing, definitely their loss in my opinion.
Doodle's Mummy
its not how much you eat...but how you eat it that counts!
Their joining fee has gone down to £200 and then they take 25% commission. I may apply again, but I'm really not sure how I'd change to 'get in' I really thought my photos rev were pretty decent this time.
Oh and I welcome and am eternally grateful for every pin/like/share it makes a big difference.
meh I guess its not that expensive in the grand sceme of things.... You would have to be side by side to an enormous amount of guff on their site though (IMO)
<makes mental note to pin more robyn's made stuff> Not because you just said, but because I keep forgetting when I'm on a "pin my pals" rampage of the internet.
