This is a bit of a long shot, but just wondered if anyone knows anyone expecting twins who might be interested in a mountain buggy with carrycots and other paraphenalia (rain cover, sun shade, padded seat inserts). It's a red Urban Jungle and it's a brilliant buggy but only in certain circumstances. It's downside it's that it's quite heavy and not that easy to fold, so no good for anyone who's regularly in and out of the car or who has lots of steps. But for someone who mostly walks / uses public transport, and has a ground level entrance door with a wide hall where they can park it, it's fantastic.
Why I love it:
When they're tiny, the carrycots face you so you can see them, and they detach so you can carry them in.
It's really easy to push, on just about any surface, even one-handed with hefty 3-yr olds in
The wheels lock if you are on a long straight bit or want to jog with it (not that I ever did), but unlock if you need manoeuvrability.
Narrow enough to fit through any normal door and on the bus.
Wide enough that they were comfortable in it, and slept well in it even when they were quite big.
Adjustable handle for tall / short people
Stable, so even if you've got lots hanging of the back, it doesn't tip over when you take the children out.
Lots of room for shopping in the bottom
We bought it new, so was hoping to get about £200 for it, plus postage costs. I'm a bit nervous of selling it on Ebay as I've not done it before, but they do seem to go for around this, but thought this was worth a try. We desperately tried to buy one second hand, and couldn't find one, so somebody might be grateful.
