Having a wobble over boys name!

Postby FestiveTidings » 07 Feb 2014, 17:44

We thought we had baby boys name sorted but now I'm having a wobble.

If we go with the name we had picked, he would have initials OO.

Based on this OO, I'm not sure I like it any more!

Would this bother you?

I suddenly realised the other day that my friend's LO was OO, thought it was a shame. Then realised our LO is GG, so I'm clearly an idiot.

It'll be lovely!

I'm SS which no-one ever pointed out was the Nazi secret police until I was in my 30s. I was not the only person at school with the initials SS, and there are a few at work now as well. I always use my middle initial so apart from this one person it's never been an 'issue'. I work with a VD which is much more amusing.

I love it. I'm always jealous of people with the same initial for first/last name! It sounds very neat somehow.

Orrin is awesome. I love it. Do it. OO is a brilliant pair of initials. Middle name? And also, when he's 7, how cool will he be?
In my heart I am Rascalpup, a name awarded during battle with one persistent spammer. I like to think ironside but with sarcasm rather than an axe.

Slightly horrified by my huge number of posts.

Love it, I wouldn't be worried about the OO at all.

Oran was on my list but DH wasn't keen but Orrin kept appearing the when we found out we were having a boy. First a baby in the waiting room was Oren, then we spotted Glen Orrin Malt in Aldi.

His middle initial would be T.

For some reason it's the OO that's bugging me. If it was any other double up then I would be ok, but I'm wondering if I'm setting him up to be teased?

The oo sound.

In my mind it's not that far a leap from oo to poo.....

Children will think of ANYTHING to tease about, if that's what they want to do, it really doesn't matter if you make it easier for them or not.

Beautiful name, I really wouldn't worry!
