Thanks DC but to save you going out your way I will just meet booksnob and others at Queen street station. Is that ok booksnob? The walk will be fine especially if it's not to rain. We will take lunch too. Can't really afford to be eating out.

So sorry but we are not going 2 make it after all Froglet is really toothy this morning & consequently v grumbly. She also seems 2 have reacted 2 some muesli she hqd yesterday & is really wheezy. Wee spud. Bag all packed to go as well!

We're on the train! Heading for central but will get off a couple of stops earlier as it'll be closet to Glasgow green. It was all going so well until AD went flying on the platform, she now has a bloody hand and a bloody knee. So she's now sporting a selection of plasters courtesy of Scotrail!

It was great meeting everyone today and good to finally put names to faces. R had a nice day and was certainly tired out. He slept when we got home and had to be woken for dinner. Hopefully we will see you all again next time.

Ditto, I really enjoyed meeting you guys today - shame about the ones who couldn't make it & hope wee ones are recovering. And your children are all lovely and full of spirit.

I'd been laughing to myself about Son taking a shine to shouty stick man, I'd forgotten he made C cry. Poor girl.

And thanks booksnob for 'rescuing' Son from up the tree in the winter gardens

Slightly embarrassed about having the worst behaved child of the meet. I guess there has to be one, and I've got a good one to make it even

To be fair to shouty stick man, he told her she couldn't have the stick and then she threw a wobbly. HOWEVER, I think what really tipped her over the edge was that he just stood over her laughing and waving the stick. And that her mother didn't do anything straightaway because she hadn't noticed her own child crying .

Don't worry Disco, I think S did what any self-respecting 3 year-old would do when his mother is pinned to a bench by a feeding baby. And he was charm itself! C would not have reacted so calmly to being removed from the tree (see shouty stick man incident...).

We both had a lovely time! I am knackered, and have a bit of a sun burnt nose! Hope everyone made it home safely.
