Next London meet

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

I'm in Berkshire but we get BBC London .. does it count? Can I come?
Would love to meet and get some face to face advice before we start "BLW proper". Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are good for me.

Chacasta, I watch Midlands Today and still went to the last one!

If we're not careful Aitch will be right. I think we should skip December and plan to make it formally monthly with whatever in between.

So tell me, would you prefer for it to be the Xth of the month or the "3rd Friday" type arrangement?

I don't know when I will be down in January, but we usually go the weekend after Valentines Day because of TEB's birthday. They live in Croydon if anyone wants to arrange something for while I'm down.

Tinks mum, I think that is an excellent idea.

Maybe we could also find a fixed venue? During the week most places take reservations.

If we fix a day during the week, I will leave one of the kids with grandad though otherwise I will go under :scream

Post Christmas is best I'd say. If its a mid week affair, then I am only off work on a Wednesday :( and that might not fit with anyone else as it's not a "usual" day to be off.

However, if we can make it we'd love to come. (I did think of you all whilst I was at yoga.)

Tootsies is pretty family friendly (although I have heard narsty rumours of them having an AK kids menu now) or Pizza Express and they both take bookings. I only know the Tootsies in Belsize Park (Northern Line) but I think there is one close to Oxford St - although the more central ones may not be so family-friendly - or have enough high chairs!

I know I'm biased but the Pizza Express in Pimlico / Victoria is fab. REALLY good with the kids and always willing to provide whatever you ask. We went there last night to celebrate my birthday / our anniversary and Bruno had some pizza :bsmile

It looks like some can't do the days that others can and I can't do Monday to Wednesday unless I book the day off work - not a major disaster but not possible in January.

January is always a bit tight for people on the money front so anyone want to fix something for end of or February?

Either Jan or Feb is fine for me.

Are we thinking week or weekend, I can do weekends but would prefer during the week but I know a number of you are back at work so I'll go with the flow.
