London Meet

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Yeah! You can come on your own and let DH look after Bruno - after all, you'll have been doing it all week.

It was lovely meeting Tink's mum and dad and Tinkerbelle and ruecatherine with boy, they are both so cute!!!

Tink's mum - you really have thinking now about getting one of your slings!!

Both mine were fast asleep on the train back, which was a bit of strain carrying them up and down all the steps but they did enjoy themselves, so thats the main thing!

Im looking forward to the next London meet although not this side of Christmas please, I forgot how many people there can be on a Saturday on Oxford Street!

So was it good fun? How did Giraffe cope?

I saw someone on our way home yesterday with a pushchair & a Giraffe balloon and thought of you lot. Shame we had to miss it but we'll definitely be there for the next one!!

Fortunately for Giraffe, there wasn't loads of us! But we did have the cutest babies in the restuarant!

Marie, just let me know if you want one. You can do two slings, smallest on the front and the eldest doing piggyback! Great when you have to carry them. As I said to you, having the youngest in the sling means you don't have to worry about them and they are out of sight for the eldest and you can give them more time, so less jealousy all round.

Rue, how is the sling going? TD commented on how much more comfortable you looked after I adjusted you and said he liked how you had the side pulled over Boy. Tink rarely lets me cover her head, even asleep. I end up holding her head to stop her hurting her neck. (See, I don't just sell, I help people wear their own wraps and tell them how to make them too)

When he was a newborn I used to have the side pulled over his head all the time to support his neck, so I guess he's used to it - makes me think I'm protecting him from the horribleness that is Central London (although people kept standing to give me a seat on the tube, which is better than when pregnant.

Good to meet you all - but lets make it not just off Oxford Street next time - I always forget how manic it is. We must have been in the place to be though - did anyone else notice we were sat next to the yummy Ben Miles (Patrick from Coupling) with his daughter?

Sorry, I have been rather oblivious to people around us chasing DS1 - will have to look him up on imdb now to see if I vagely remember sitting next to a celebrity :D

:o No I didn't, but I wouldn't have known anyway

Was he sitting next to you or TD?

I don't know who choose the venue, but it didn't mean anything to me - I'm sure TD would have said soemthing if he had seen where it was, he navigates London by tube stations and the tram having worked on them for so long.
