London Meet

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

London Meet

Postby TinkerbellesMum » 09 Nov 2007, 17:32

Hi everyone, I was wondering what you are doing after lunch?

TD and I have decided to stay in London until 8 and have dinner together. We won't be seeing the boys now so it is a day trip for us. We're not sure at the moment what to do and where to take Tink, so was wondering if anyone had any ideas or plans.

Depends what you like doing. The museums are free & most do something child orientated if Tink gets bored.

Marylebone has some nice shops

Or you could walk round Regents Park & go to the zoo. We took Bruno to Battersea zoo recently & e was fascinated by the monkeys.

Sorry, what's this London meet? Is it an invite only or general get together?

Definitely come along if you are free.

Information is in bold at the beginning of this thread. There is also a roll call on this section which I'll bump for you so you can see who's going.

You could go down to the south bank, along there you've got the option the tate modern, the london eye and the aquarium (my personal favourite). there are also a few restaurants and cafes. it's busy at the weekend but a nice stroll

I think the aquarium was the place TD was trying to think of, he said a sea life type thing, about his usual amount of fog.

I think she thought this was a different thread, it's not on this one.

Details are:

11:30 Saturday 17th (week today) at Giraffe Marylebone.

Please fill in the roll call because we can't book and need the first person to arrive to ask for a rather large table!

Hi everyone. Bruno is ill so not sure what to do about Saturday. In theory, if he does have bronchiolitis which HV thought it was (Dr didn't say!) then he'll still be contagious possibly on Saturday...

Ouch, doesn't sound good.

Having got all excited myself, I'm not sure how Sat will work for us either. DH is thinking about taking a Sat off wwork this w/e (he's self-employed) to rest and spend some quality time with me and E. So I probably won't be heading up to town this time.

You can bring DH too, we're probably not going to be there all day and you can go somewhere together after. We're doing that, it was supposed to be a London weekend, but we're going for a day and not seeing the boys, we'll stay for the day and go back about 8pm. He's managed to get a voucher from the internet 2-4-1 at the Aquarium, so we will only have to pay for one of us as Tink will get in free anyway.
