Midlanders 2016

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Midlanders 2016

Anyone up for it?

Anyone available July/August and what days are good for you?

Think we're free most days up until the end of August. DH has a random days off so won't bore you with a list to avoid just yet but we probably want to spend his days off with him.

Suggestions on place?
Canon Hill Park, Birmingham and St Nicks, Warwick were both lovely and within travelling distance for me if you want to go back to the same place or we could try somewhere new.

Hurrah p_h, are we finally going to get to meet? :D

August is pretty clear and we can do any day at the moment. Don't mind where we meet as I can drive so am flexible, but if it's Cannon Hill Park, can we check the cricket fixtures first?!

Yey PH. How old are B and A now? Crikey, A is over a year (just checked your signature).

And definitely CF.

We're away a lot at various times, so I'll wait until you've agreed a date and then see whether we can make it.

Yep B was 4 in March and A is almost 17 months. But he has definitely just been born, I don't know how that happened!!

Yes to checking cricket fixtures! :D

What days of the week are best for people? Or does it not matter with it being holidays anyway?

I suggest the beginning of August sometime, hopefully it'll be dry and warm but that leaves us a bit of time to rearrange before all these big kids start school in Sept (how did that happen?) Are you homeschooling B did I hear PH?

If were going for Canon Hill then not the 3rd, 13th, 20th or 31st August. Just checked the cricket. Does anything else happen at Edgebaston that we should be aware of?

I am yes :) I don't think much else happens at Edgbaston? But just to note that if it's Cannon Hill then it's probably best to meet earlier in the day rather than later - if is a nice sunny day the car park is invariably rammed by lunchtime. There's also the Birmingham Wildlife and Conservation Centre on the same site (other end of the car park) which is a nice day out, not too expensive if I remember rightly.

Ooh, wildlife sounds good!

We'll be coming back from France on the 4th of August. Fridays aren't brilliant for us, but we can manage any day.

How about 8, 10 or 11th August. Or if the 9th works better for everyone else go for that but we can't do it.

10th or 11th fine for us. We can do the 8th, but I'm looking after my friend's son that day and I've never taken three kids out at once before! :scream :D

Either of those are fine for us - Wednesday 10th August is marginally better of the two. Lily, happy to give you a lift if you want - my parents have spare car seats we can borrow if you don't have access to them, or hopefully see you there!
