Midlands Meet Up, B'ham, 2nd Sep 2014

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

I'm coming. I have had extra meds so I don't puke but so so sorry if I do! I'm wearing a pink tshirt and my (blonde) hair is up. Belle will be the child screaming 'Cake! Caaaaaake Mummy!' (there is a tempting cake display lol).

Sorry sorry sorry - I spent an hour trying to park and then was desperate for a wee and then I puked in the car, so I gave up and went to my mums to sort myself out. Sorry I couldn't let you know my battery died. Hope you had a lovely day!

Oh ph :( . I assumed something like that had happened and just hoped that you were ok. We did have a great time once everyone battled through the cricket traffic - Daniel spent the whole journey home saying 'where's G?', 'where's Izbiz?' over and over again (along with ''the wheels on the bus go bing, bang, bang, bing, bang, bong, bing, bang, bong' which must be a nursery thing), and he's missing his playmates now. I'm afraid D and Megan passed him by, but maybe next time he'll take notice of them!

Hope everyone got home ok.

Was lovely to meet you all and I'm so sorry things didn't go well for you ph. Definitely have to do it again soon and we'll definitely check the cricket timetable first lol.

Had to bribe G back to the car with ice cream and the promise of Peppa Pig (we have DVD players in the back of the car, best invention ever) she was so tired so just lay down on the grass and wouldn't move bless her lol. As you have probably noticed, getting her to walk any distance in the right direction is nigh on impossible, unless she knows where she's going and thinks it's worth it. Even then she didn't sleep in the car so she's been a bit if a grumpy gills this afternoon. We all had a great time though and can't wait for the next one.

Really good to meet you all, even if it was short and sweet! Loved Cannon Hill Park, apart from the cricket traffic! Got home in good time for DH to leave for work, when I told him about the cricket traffic his reaction was "well if you'd mentioned Edgbaston I could have told you!"

Sorry you couldn't make it PH, hope you feel better soon and look forward to meeting you again.
