Roll Call

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

How many are coming from your party (including you)?

Roll Call

Postby TinkerbellesMum » 19 Oct 2007, 12:39

The other thread is mainly chatting about who is coming, where and when, so I thought I'd start a Roll Call thread just for a list of who to expect, will help us know how many to book a table for.

Tick the poll to indicate how many, including yourself, OH and children, are coming and list your name below:

Here are the details:

Nov 17th (Saturday) at 11.30am at Giraffe W1

No table booked as they don't do bookings at the weekend (even for parties of 20!) so first person there please make sure we get a big enough place. A few of us are looking to get there early to make sure we can get in!

Local tube stations are Oxford Street, Bond Street, Baker Street.

Nearest Mainline is probably Marylebone.

Looking forward to seeing you there!!

And finally.... please make yourselves name tags just so we can all get onto first name terms and not get embarrassed when we have to say "what's your name again?!"

I know, I laughed when I opened the page before I'd read anything else.

Drats sorry I missed off the explanation  It crashed when I tried to post first time so I had to start again and forgot that bit.

Yes, it needs to include you, OH and DC/ren.

Three families and we have 12 already, I think someone should warn the resturant :!: How many covers do they have?

I was looking at a few websites just now but they all dont say how many covers they have.

I send them an email to warn them although they dont take reservations so what do they want to do send us away or tell us not to come? :D Just read their menu again - yummy!

They send me a standard blah blah back, saying that they seated such large parties in the past, but there could be a wait.

Having said that, we have six small kids with us that if they are short a few seats could just stay in their buggies for a while - at least mine could :D

How long are you planning on sticking around for? I'd love to come, but Thomas normally has a milk feed at around midday, and he normally only feeds in a quiet room when he's half asleep - otherwise he'll just grouch and remain hungry and tired, but refuse to feed. Having said that, he never seems to follow his normal routine on days when I plan things around it, so maybe it will be ok! Can I play it by ear a bit? And would it be ok to bring my 5 year-old daughter along too (my big son will be at his tap dancing class)?

Well we'll probably be there until at least 1pm to have lunch and possibly even longer depending on how much the waiters try to get rid of us

I think Marie has given out her mobile but I'll PM you mine so you can check on the day before heading out of need be. How far out of town are you?

Thanks for the phone no. - I'll definitely try to be there, but it very much depends on Thomas. I'm based in Kennington (between Waterloo and the Oval), so it should only take me 40 minutes max to get up there. If I don't make it, maybe we can organise another mini-meet soon. By which stage Thomas might have decided that food is for eating, not throwing on the floor/using as a hat/using as a drumstick...

I'm not that far from you really - Pimlico. There's a bus route I think...

I'm sure there will be a few hangers on that don't want to go home :D
