Central scotland long over due catch up.

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

thats a shame Mcm and splash. Next time hopefully?

So... are we looking at a tuesday then?

I haven't been to Perth since I was a kid so don't know of any of the places Oriel suggested. Those who know should make that decision.

Both currently fine for me. It's always possible the tongue tie op will turn out to be then, of course!

It would be great to meet some more of you, but I don't think we'll be able to make it. Hope you all have fun!

17th better for us, though still debating with myself whether we ought to miss nursey AND playgroup for a slightly extravagant jaunt. Need to see if I can swap their playgroup day that week, as it would be quite an adventure to go somewhere new.

Got permission to switch playgroup days, so 17th is good for us.
Just wondering if while we've got the momentum going and a few people are struggling with Perth whether we should fix an Edinburgh date as well (not because that's where I am, just it was the location that seemed to bring most people along in the past)?

I am going to say YES! to this, but the only thing is going to be that I have a book deadline the week after, so if sh!t hits the fan, we won't be there.

Have we set a place? I rarely drive, so I will be on the train most likely and need to fit in with school pick up back in Alloa (or I may have the au pair do it, but then she might like to be with us, so I don't know)

I was in the South Inch yesterday and they're finally making progress with building the long-promised new playpark. It looks very exciting. I'm told it will be finished 'in the next few weeks'. If it's done by the 17th that's more reason to go for a picnic there.

Other potential venues:

Swimming pool. Has a cafe and a playpark geared more towards younger kids as well as some green space. Free parking.

Library. Good spacious cafe with BabyDan chairs. Good children's section. No outdoor space to speak of.

These three venues are each around 10 minutes' walk apart, and all are close to the train station.

I can also offer my house, which has some advantages, but I'd rather use this as an excuse to get out! It's also around 10 minutes' walk from all the above.

What sort of times are we thnking of?
