Central scotland long over due catch up.

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Central scotland long over due catch up.

Fist of all an apology, I just saw busmother's suggestion of a meet in May. I missed it altogether.

So we're long overdue a meet.

Who wants in on it?

Stirling or Edinburgh or somewhere in between are the most obvious places. I don't think there's anyone else in Glasgow? Unless there are some new folk - don't be scared to speak up!

S will start his new nursery on tue 2nd September, so Ideally not that week, but I'm not bothered about which day.

Right, can't find my diary but I'm pretty sure I have no plans on my days off... I work Wed, Thurs and Fri so Mon or Tues is best for me. I know from past meets that that doesn't suit everyone though.

I will be on my October holidays the week beginning 21st Oct so any day would suit then (particularly the Fri as I wouldn't have to take E out of nursery).

Anyone else??

Perth maybe?

Trouble is at the moment I'm either feeding or pumping so might not be able to get out much. But I'd like to come if I can.

Perth is doable. That'd be grand to see the wee tiny one oriel. Mondays or Tuesdays is fine by me.

Pooh. I've been meaning to suggest this all summer, and I'm finally back in forum world because, well, now the holidays are over, and have completely failed to do anything about it. Mine start nursery next Monday, so now no days are good. I'm not averse to taking them out, but probably not until they've settled in a bit, maybe in a couple of weeks. Mon, Thurs or Friday generally best for us.
I did wonder about doing the Bo'ness steam railway as it's a good day out in its own right, and has the advantage of being in an enclosed carriage so we can chat without having to hare about after wee ones too much, and it's kind of central.

Perth is good for me. Or Bo'ness tbh. I don't really know Perth though (went once to see Sean Hughes in a very empty theatre!) so have no suggestions about where.

Any day is good for me (or at least no worse than any other).

Places to meet in Perth:

Picnic on the South Inch. Lots of green space, playground, duck pond.
Picnic on the North Inch. Lots of green space, more exciting playground, sports centre with cafe to retire to in case of adverse weather. Nice riverbank walk.
Salvation Army cafe. Very child-friendly with small soft play area. I've not eaten there so can't speak to the food.

I'll try and think of more whennot trapped under a baby.

I should say I can do Tuesday if that's the day that suits everyone else (and it would be nice to see Kat). I have no idea how long it takes to get to Perth from Edinburgh, but I'm up for an adventure.

Takes about an hour - to and hour and 20 busmother. Depends on which part of Edin you are leaving from.

I'm afraid I will prob have to miss this one unless its during school holidays. R starting nursery as well as one of my minded kids so I couldn't just not send them one day. I will keep watching for future meets but its more difficult for me now.
