Hampshire Meet Mon 19/8 nr Winchester

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

K's busy until about 12:30, but I'm happy/able to meet before then if it suits everyone else better. I think Kate and Pics would like to meet for lunch. We can eat at the pub, but you are warned in advance that it is expensive. Alternatively we could go for a picnic, there are a few options but they are all at the other end of town. I really don't mind either way.

I can do lunch with the girls first - that's really not a problem at all. And as i am so temperamental at the moment with whether i can physically get to places or not at the moment, please don't worry about me too much. Picnicking is really out for me at the moment!

Well that just makes me vote pub not picnic in case you can make it! :)

(Actually, I'd vote pub anyway. I like pubs. )

Well, shall we say 1ish at the pub? Then people can either eat at home first or eat there? Then maybe later we could wander down to the watercress beds?

I'm really sorry, but there is no way i am going to make it. I had forgotten the 8-and-a-half-months-pregnant feeling of constant exhaustion and discomfort, and that coupled with the SPD making walking unpredicatable in the afternoons means that it really would be silly to try and come.

Sorry - i would have loved to have seen you all.

Are we all set for Monday? Is anyone having lunch at the pub? We are - we'll be there around 1200.

Looking forward to it!

How do we all identify each other? A copy of the BLW book with a daisy on top???

I will be the one with a shiny-haired 4yo yelling "Eva! Stop being naughty!" At a fluffy-headed girl who's probably pottering around innocently and/or taking off her shoes. We tend to stand out... :?

Will update tomorrow with what we're wearing!

Monday - I thought it was Tuesday and was going to come straight from a nasty dentist appointment. Instead I can make it after a routine dental appointment and dropping the children off at the hovercraft (sniff sniff). Someone tell me where I am going and I'll try and find it, I think I know the village MtM lives in well enough if you direct me via dental surgeries. I can probably only stay a couple of hours as so much house stuff to do, and a date to prepare for!!!!!
So somehow it happened, my weaners are at school,
I'm still here though and people I'll try to fool,
with tales of advice giving and of wanting to know
But really here's the only place I ever want to go.

We're aiming for 12ish, any later and the kids get too hungry and therefore, too grumpy! Might be a bit late tho' as we have the hell of Clarks for school shoes 1st :scream

Has everyone got the pub details/my mobile number now? Shout if not and I'll forward it tonight. I think we'll be there sometime between 12:30 and 1pm so will probably be the last to arrive!

I can't remember what's been said where, but there's a lovely walk near the pub which is perfect for bikes/scooters if you want to bring them.
