So yorkshire gang...

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Oh, oh, the 15th is just before we head north. We might be able to make it! Kick me closer to the time to see if I'm still free or having a packing stress (whose idea was it to have three children???)

Lin and I are definitely meeting on Thurs next week (the 15th). Anyone else who's available is more than welcome to join us. We haven't confirmed times etc yet (I'm just back from holiday), but we had said we would head for the Sculpture Park.

I don't think I've been there before but will keep checking to see what time you're meeting and we might come too. We're having our bathroom ripped out this week so I will be aiming to be out of the house every day if we can to avoid the mess.

But if anyone has a recently ill child who's coming, can you PM me to let me know as we have to be really careful with A at the moment and are trying to avoid any very high temperatures, sick/tummy bugs as much as we can as it'll mean a trip to the RVI on our emergency plan :-(

Right, we've decided on a slight venue change in view of the weather forecast.
We're going to go to Nostell Priory (Wakefield) instead, meeting at 11.
I haven't been before, but LIn reckons they have a woodland playpark which will be a bit more sheltered from any rain, and there might be a children's trail inside the house itself, if it's really pouring down.

The car-park is a little way from house apparently, so we are going to meet in the courtyard of the stable block - its where the cafe is and near to the playground.

Hope to see people there!

We're home. I've got three tired children watching Postman Pat and DH cooking tea. Bliss. We've had a lovely day and it was great to meet up again and see the Flouncer. Still :o at M's doppleganger.

I'm patting Squeak, desperately willing her to fall asleep as my mum has offered to babysit tonight! As I predicted, she (Squeak, not mum  ) fell asleep in the car so does not want to sleep now :(

Worth it though - fab day! :D And yes, WOW at the doppelganger! :o

We missed you 4ww; we'll have to do it again sometime though - lovely place!

Sorry I missed it but it just didn't make sense to come up for just a couple of hours when I've got a huge list of things to do!

4ww - is 20th/21st still good for you? We could have another meet for those of us who missed it! I meant to reply to your dates ages ago but the summer is going so quickly...

Devious of you to PM me just so that I had to log on! I'd love the pic of the girls - including the random doppelganger. She'll be the childhood equivalent of the stray girlfriend in wedding pics that was dumped shortly after and yet is stuck in the family album for ever.

4ww - caught up on your news via the others - I am keeping my fingers crossed for R.

We had a grand day - the level of filth in the bath was indicative of a Best Day Ever. Lovely to see you all.

Right - I am vanishing again.....
