Where in Kent are you? Sevenoaks way? I am free those days but we are over the other side of Kent. Could come to Knole park, don't know where kersney abbey is but could figure it out. Fozza are you keen too? We could go together.

We're yet another side of Kent (Canterbury) but have car.

Kearsney is near Dover but 5 minutes walk on the train. We've done Riverside park (I think, Fozza?) & Strand in Medway & leeds castle (Pain for non drivers) - Howletts & wildwood are options? but they are both expensive for non members.

Either way, I don't mind driving, so anywhere!

I could do the 2nd and might nudge FM to see if she can make it too. I guess it depends where it is too.

The Hop Farm is free from today until the 14th of April. Due to it being in administration it is free entry to the animal farm and the play area. You have to pay to use the 4D cinema, bumper boats, bouncy castle on a pay per play basis. It used to be SO expensive to get in so I have never been, but as it is in administration they have changed to free entry during the handover period.

Just an idea, it might be too far for some of you!

Ooo I've never been (apart from working there & wedding fair) but Id like to see it as my sister is supposed to be getting married there this summer. Is there any shelter in doors or cafe? Gonna still be cold.

The hop farm is in admin? I didn't know... I'd love to join, but seem to have filled my days up. I have no plans this weekend, but am working/ visiting/ being visited from Tuesday on, with the exception of Thursday 11th.

Just in case Knole is still in the frame, we learnt the hard way at a meet once before that it's rubbish for Anyone travelling by train, it's a really long walk from the station.

We went to the Hop Farm for a party last summer, it's ok. If the weather is bad there is a horrid cafe (think yucky greasy food on plastic chairs) but it has a small indoor play area. There is also a massive indoor sandpit with a pirate ship in where you search for treasure in return for a prize. Its good but quite dark.

I think the weather is improving but not sure how much.

The massive indoor sandpit is closed ATM, as is the carousel, otherwise I would have done a recce today.

Sorry, been away for weekend :) I had a look at the visit Kent site for indoors ideas, but nothing grabbed me (http://www.visitkent.co.uk/top-10s/10-rainy-day-ideas).

What's the hop farm like with all the bits that are closed?

Dover Castle? I can get 1 adult and 4 children (in addition to mine!) in free. Outside will be cold, but the tower & tunnels should be ok.

So, Tuesday 2nd, with picnic (I'm an optimist!) but where...? I'll make a poll and we go with favourite?

A poll sounds like a good idea. I am keen on anything that doesn't cost too much. Is Dover castle exciting for kids? I have only been there pre-kids and can't remember!
