Birmingham meet up, 2nd attempt?

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Yes, we are!

As for where, however, I don't think we got that far!

We could either do Selly Park/MAC/zoo or we could try for the SeaLife Centre (Adult-go-free tickets currently on sides of Corn Flakes and Rice Crispies?).

I can't think of many truly child-friendly places in Birmingham city centre. After my experiences at the recent Manchester meet I'm especially thinking that somewhere with more than one baby change area would be a good idea!

What rough age are everyone's children? L is 14 months.

Belle is 13mo.

A couple more suggestions:

- Clay and Play in Erdington (http://www.clayandplay.co.uk/how-it-works.html)
- Hickory Dickory's soft play in Kings Heath - toddler sessions 9:30-12pm
- Cadbury World - I know I know, too much chocolate, but The Sooty Show is filming there! We can all be ON TV! ;)

Soft play gets my vote.

Clay and play will get my vote when L would last for longer than about two minutes before attempting to eat the clay. Plus I'd have to go back in 10 days time to pick it up, and that's just not going to happen!

Cadbury World is tempting, but unfair when I wouldn't let L eat any of it when I'm stuffing my face!

I am going to struggle to get there before 11, as I live an hour away by car (L's nap is usually 11 so I can push it a bit but only so much) and bus/train/bus combo would just be too much travelling for L and too expensive.

If you are happy to wait until 11 and we all have lunch together then that could work, but I don't know how this soft play centre works. The wording on the website doesn't specifically state that they'll chuck us out at 12 but I'm not sure. Can anyone shed any light on this?

If the 9:30 - 12:00 session is the only viable one then I think I would recommend that you guys go ahead and I'll postpone until next time. I hadn't really considered how the timings were going to work out and I'm suddenly realising I might have rather overestimated what I could do!

I doubt they'd kick us out I just think they then let the bigger kids in, we could go for lunch in Kings heath though afterwards, the arco (or loco I get mixed up) is nice and lo has eaten there np before, or theres a costa coffee, or other places I'm sure. It seems a shame after planning this for a month so if your happy to travel I dont mind 11am :D

You'll have to give me a postcode or their website so I can get there, but that sounds good to me! :D
