Edinburgh 18th February. Dynamic Earth Soft Play. 1pm.

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

TheWriggler would like to go to the soft play, if that's ok with everyone? We will be there for 11am.

Is it time for a roll call? I think we have:

Me +2 (+ one or possibly two grandparents)
Biccytoria +2
FanToosh +1
QuietBatMummy +1
Kat +0 :D
BookSnob +1
BusMother +2

I am not going to make it. I would love to see you all, but I haven't been able to work for over a week and just can't justify giving up a child-free day. sorry! *sob*

And I have DH with me as he doesn't work Mondays.

We might be late in as we are going to see around one of the schools that we are applying for.

Which soft play is it?

Sorry. The Dynamic Earth soft play area. It is £2 per child to get in but as we mostly have preschoolers and toddlers its probably best that they're vaguely contained.

And yay to extra pairs of hands and ooooooh to school visits FanToosh!

Lovely! What time? I probably wouldn't get there until just before 1pm, but imagine most of you would rather meet a bit earlier.

Boo Biccy, but have fun at the photo session!

BusMother, we are planning on being there from 11 but if people are coming in later we can wait or change plans. We have nothing else on on Monday.

I'll send a PM now to those who are still in.

Edited to say the proposal is now 1pm as BM and FT both said they'd be later.

That sounds like a good plan, we'll see you there. The Dynamic Earth website says that the cafe is closed on Mondays until March - I'm going to give them a call today and just double check that, and see if it's ok for us to bring our own lunches/snacks. A friend has mentioned a child-friendly cafe/pub in the are, but I can't remember the name so will try to find that out too.

Looking forward to seeing you all, and to meeting some new weaners!

ETA: the cafe/pub is a Swedish place called Hemma, at 75 Holyrood Road, very close to Dynamic Earth. So that's an option if people want food and drink after play.

Have just phoned and listened to their recorded message: it seems the whole thing is normally closed on Mondays, but as it's still half term for some schools they ARE open tomorrow, therefore the cafe should be open.

Was going to PM you Disco, as I wondered if you'd missed this. Hope you're able to make it, would be lovely to see you and the boys.

Arg Disco. Not a very grown up response but after DP's spending spree yesterday I'd be treating myself if I were you. (((Hugs)))
