Attention Yorkshire Branch!

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Thanks everyone for a lovely day. As lin said, surely the most impressive and elaborate meet up ever!

We're home and watching Grandpa in my pocket while eating leftover muffins. Yum!

Thanks to Lin for her hospitality, especially the fab soup and rhubarb cake. Lovely to see you all again.

Lovely day, thanks all for the food and company and Lin for organising. After a bit if wailing in the back we had a smooth journey home and I'm now trying to summon up some energy for cooking and tidying...

We're home too. Squeak fell asleep at about quarter to 5 & slept for about 45 mins, so no idea what that will do to bedtime! Better warn DP ;)

Fab day thanks. Lovely to see you all. If we start organising now, what are the chances of organising an Easter one?! ;)

It was lovely. THe DD's flaked out in front of Nanny McPHee and DH get home from an epic 6 hour bike ride and polished off most of the cake.

So sorry that 4ww and Stormwind couldn't make it. Sounds like you had tough day, Stormwind - hope all is OK now.

Maybe the Easter weather will be nicer and we could attempt an outdoor meet up?

Wriggles was asleep within minutes of getting in the car so had a very peaceful and easy journey home. He's now in the bath telling DH about his day! Had lovely time, nice to see everyone :D .

We had a lovely time too. Thank you Lin for getting us together again and the rhubard cake! My waist is not thanking you for the chocolate cup cakes though. How did you make that topping, it was delicious?

Wrigglesmummy: my two enjoyed some of your biscuits on the way home. I need that recipe for your oat and fig ones as they were great for A to snack on...

We got home safely but H then had a screaming fit in the car as she wouldn't put her shoes on. Twenty minutes of screaming later, she gave in and came inside to cuddle a toy and watch tv. This is despite having a quick nap on the way home!!! A looked out the window the whole way home and was fine although a little tired. This morning he has woken up with a temperature and conjunctivitus - sorry if we've spread any germs. I had no idea he was coming down with something...

Lin: I hope DD1 wasn't too upset about her butterflies. Sorry I never saw A with them before it was too late. There is a small package on the way to her in the post. x

Oh, poor A, no wonder he slept so long at the hall.

Oh lordy A_W, that's sweet of you but totally unnecessary. Her meltdown was entirely due to tiredness and the excitement of the day. Honestly it'll be fine. We ordered some more together and she'll be fine.

Choc cupcakes are the Malted Chocolate ones in the Hummingbird Cupcake book. I'll happily scan and send if you'd like it!

Glad you all had a good time. Am very jealous! Sorry about not being in contact, I am having broadband problems, it seems to be working for now, but keeps going off.

We had a bad day and was thinking about you all having fun. The car had to go in to the garage with starting problems, it's been in for 3 days now and started perfectly each time <grr>. I had to go to the dr, it turns out it's not an allergy, but really bad conjunctivitis. the car seats won't fit into the other car very well. By the time I got home at 11.30, the boys were starving. ds2 is very hard work at the moment and I didn't dare bring him hungry. I was a bit embarrassed about turning up with red, swollen eyes and decided to stay at home. Began to regret it very quickly!

Here"s to the next meet. If I'm away for a while, it's because the broadband's gone off again...
