Attention Yorkshire Branch!

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

It might be worth working out exactly how many kids we are catering for - I have lost count:

Spanner - 1 or 2
Tintin - 2
SParkling - 2
4ww - 4
RachelS - 2
Stormwind - 2

and perhaps A/w - 2

plus my two

I make that 17 or 18 kids.......

(Hmmm.. maybe I should make a phone call about the Hall......)

Personally, I think the hall would be the least stressful option... I can't remember whether we had to pay last time, but wouldn't mind contributing to hire cost. I also remember Tropical World being quite 'tight' in places for such a large group especially during half term when it could be busy.. Am I being a spoil sport, lacking adventure, though? :)

Both options sound good. DS probably happier in a home than a hall to play as he is a bit phobic of larger situations but no problem to leave him at home. In fact maybe i should just come on my own and enjoy chatting ;-)

Just seen all this! We'd be around for morning activity and lunch if you're going for the hall option (don't worry about trying to squeeze another one plus one in if you're going for home option Lin!) but would probably head off sometime after 1pm to get nap in car on return leg.

I'm a maybe, DH is considering taking the girls to his parents over half term and if he does that. probably won't have a car. If he doesn't a trip to Leeds might be fun, I'd be one adult plus three kids, one not eating till March though.

Any luck with the hall lin??

just had a trial run of baking some cheesey spinach puff pinwheels, with the intention of bringing them at half term.

the verdict from the twins was 5/5. A has eaten green food thats unheard of. both babies are on a third pinwheel.

Have we made any progress?
My mum & niece are arriving on Weds, so I'll be on limited internet access until they leave again on Monday. Count me in for whatever is agreed though, even if I don't reply to the thread.

4ww - did you get tickets for The Selfish Crocodile for next Tues? I'm taking Stompy to the 11am performance! :D Thanks for the heads up about it, it's one of her favourite books! :D

That's definitely an acceptable excuse!

I've just had a quick look at the website, and there do appear to be tickets available.

I haven't done anything about the Hall. I will try to talk to someone this week. IF not, we are geared up to have you all here.

Sufficient unto the day and all that......

I read all about the meet ups everytime they are organised, but something always gets in the way. I would love to meet some of you in realife, but this time G is at childcare while I sort out his B'day party. Have a great day.

Right!

We have the Hall!

I just need to check that Tropical World is open (the website says YES but I'd like to see it with my own eyes and it'll make me run up there tomorrow) and then I can out together the full entertainment programme.

Can I ask you all to re-confirm attendance along with an idea of what you might bring to a Bring & Share lunch? There is a lovely new range in the Hall so we can reheat.

I will try to do a pot of Thai Red Curry Pumpkin soup and some cake of some sort.

We're in! I'll probably bring some cheese straws and some chewy bars (oat-y dried fruit things). Plus I've got loads of kiwis that I keep intending to make some kiwi bread (kind of sweet-ish tea bread) so will bring that too if get around to making it.

Looking forward to it.

Lin - I'll PM you my number and get yours too if that's ok? cheers
