Birmingham (uk) BLW?

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

17th and SLC/Wagamamas work for us :)

I thought Cannon Hill Park maybe - feed the ducks and a coffee in the cafe - but it's not City Centre so might be a bit annoying to get to.

I can drive instead of coming on the train so cannon hill park works too, might be a bit more frugal and more space for the toddlers to run around?

I can drive too, so I'm happy to go to the park as well. Plus, free parking so definitely a win on the frugal front.

At the mac on the day is a story telling person: http://www.macarts.co.uk/event/tall-stories-mr-benn (1:30pm, £8.50) so if it rains we do have a fall back plan. Or just lots of tea. I like tea.

Yay!

I did the Birmingham half marathon in October and Cannon Hill Park was when I started to really really hurt and wonder what on earth had possessed me. It will be nice to visit again pain-free! :)

So, is it a date? Is everyone OK to meet at 11:00? Time to have a wander, time to eat a spot of lunch, and meander off when we feel we're done?

Oh yeah, and where... I guess the front of the mac would be a clever place to meet, or inside if it's raining.

Sounds sensible, should we pm the first two posters on the thread, not sure if they have seen all the replies..?

Just a reminder that the meet is at 11:00 on Sunday, at the mac theatre in Cannon Hill park. The parking is free but you might have to fight for a space!

I suggest we meet outside the main entrance (park side, not car park side) as there is a bit more space there. If it's raining or too cold we can hide just inside instead.
