irish?

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

My dad is Irish, so I am half Irish :-). My dad was born in a farm in Kildare, my nanna is from Kildare and my grandad was from Galway. They moved here when my dad was 5. He doesn't have an accent but his older sister and brother do-I love my nans thick Irish accent, her soda bread, deep Catholic beliefs and stories about bringing up 7 children while holding down a job in Ireland. She's an amazing lady.
Very proud mummy to three little stars:

Harvey born January 2009
Jasper born October 2010
Pippa born January 2013

I am!
From Mayo.
Only been in California 2 years, but have already developed some kind of deep aversion to rain :/ so I wouldn't survive if I were to go back ;)

I'm Irish and grew up in Kilburn when it was classed as a bonus county! My mum was the sixth generation born on a farm in Laois and my dad was born over here after his parents moved for work. GPs are from Limerick, Laois, Waterford and Galway so a fairly even spread. Lots of family there (some never left and some are moving back) so it's the only 'abroad' place we have taken the girls (I'm not sure Ireland counts as abroad...)

As I explained to the girls before their last visit - it's a different kind of rain there.
