Ceecee is further north than me. As far as locations go York is very easy for me, we always take the train and I'm guessing at 8 months pregnant with two little girls I'll be given a seat! Harrogate is a good choice, last time I was at Harlow Carr was about 48 hours before DD2 was born, let's hope I don't repeat that!

Lin, Thorp Perrow the week before sounds good. Are you around at the weekend or just during the week. Monday is my only day off work so I'm not the most flexible in August. Come September of course...

Lin: Osmotherley is lovely - hope you get good weather. I'm free that week too so meeting up would be lovely. Can't do Tuesdays though but rest of week is free. Don't mind where. If you prefer Thorpe that's fine with me as we've not been there for a few months.

Hi, i'm free mon the 20th and would be lovely if DD and i could meet up with you all.
I'm significantly the furthest north at the most northern point of county Durham, but York or Harrogate are do-able. Don't make plans around me though.

York and Harrogate are about 1.5 hour drives from here so probably do-able if I can time one leg of it at nap time. So count me in but I may arrive bit late depending on what time you're meeting / what time Wriggles sleeps to (e.g. if it's 3.40am like it was this morning I can probably get there pretty early ).

I could probably do Harrogate or York. As long as the venue is easy to find - I'm useless at finding my way to places I don't know!

So there seems to be a few of us who could meet in York or Harrogate. I know York but I've not been there with children apart from the National Railway Museum. Anyone know anywhere else?

I guess we could all bring some food so we wouldn't have to buy any lunch if we go to Harlow or Harewood. Harewood is a bit further south and pretty easy to find as it's on the A61 from Leeds to Harrogate. Harewood is free for under 4yrs. Adults are £10 and 4-16yrs £6. Harlow Carr Gardens is west of Harrogate on the B6162 Otley Road. It has brown tourist signs to direct you there from centre of Harrogate. It is £7.50 for adults, 4 and under are free, 5 plus are £3.75. Free if you are an RHS member and if so you can get a friend in for free too.

I've been quiet on this as I've not been sure what we'd be doing. We'll be away this time. York is very good for us, so my vote would be to go elsewhere this time and York next time :-p

Right, I'll put us down as a definite. According to the AA website, it's 1hr15mins from my address in Sheffield. I'll probably come with just Stompy. Monday is a nursery day for Squeak, and I was planning to spend as much 1-on-1 time with Stompy as possible before she starts school. We could be there anytime after 9.30, I guess.

I don't have a membership either.
