Coram's Fields 4th of July

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Coram's Fields 4th of July

Postby KatGoldLIN » 14 May 2012, 17:40

So, it looks like we will be down in London for the first week in July. I have been looking for the regular meet up thread, but can't seem to find if there is one. I know you all used to meet up in Coram's Fields once a month? Does that still happen? Anyone fancy meeting that week at all?

We will be staying somewhere in Kent as well that week with DHs parents and I have to go to Winchester as well if either of those venues work better for folk.

At the moment, I am free as which day we meet up, but we will book up quickly, hence me starting a thread so early!!

I'm back at work but if it's a Wednesday or Friday we would be able to come. Corams is good for us too.

Depending on days we could do London or Winchester. The Monster will be at school but the Pickle and I are around when I'm not at work. Yay. I promise not to rant about government cuts to local authority run museums this time!
So somehow it happened, my weaners are at school,
I'm still here though and people I'll try to fool,
with tales of advice giving and of wanting to know
But really here's the only place I ever want to go.

I wanted to! Still will if it's travelling, I have a lovely gallery space. And  I can only do things I'm passionate about and people trying to destroy the museum service upset me.

Other thrilling topics of conversation currently involve misinterpretation of the localism act, potentially disastrous outsourcing of children's centre and local politics/police commissioner role, and of course how brilliant/awful my children are. I do however have some rather amusing anecdotes about a museum assistant I inherited for 10 months because otherwise I'd bore myself stupid let alone people I talk to! Shuts up before ending a Winchester meet before it begins.

I'll just have started back at work the month before but I'd love to come, friday would be good as A is in after school club until 5.30 that day so I wouldn't need to rush away to get him.

We could possibly do a London meet, depending on the times - need to be back in suburbia for school pick up.

the first wednesday in july would be best for me... always up for a trip to corams.
A little concerned about finally actually meeting you after all these years though, what if that woman in your park was wrong and you're actually more irritating in the flesh than on screen?

I *am* more irritating in real life. Sorry to break it to you, Robyn. Plus B&M told me the other day that I sound nothing like she imagined on the phone. I keep meaning to ask her what she meant...

I would love to do a Kent or west Sussex meet but have no shame in admitting I'm too scared to do London with all 3! Am also intrigued as to how I irritating you really are  and want to thank you for inspiring and virtually teaching me to crochet!
