Watford meet up anyone?

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Watford meet up anyone?

Postby Jelly Belly » 17 May 2008, 12:13

Hello, I know there is at least one other Watford person visiting here but wondered if there are any more who might like to get together and say hello.

Picnic in Cassiobury Park perhaps?

Anyone from Hertfordshire / North London is welcome - I'm picking Watford cos that's where the nearest bus takes me :)

Great idea!

Mrs Archiesdad (jo) would love to join too. Tues/ Weds/ Thurs are best for her.

If weather is good, picnic would be great, if weather less good she says after lunch would be better.

Anyone with a date suggestion?

PS - MIL and FIL are in Pinner too!

Credit where it's due - it was YOUR great idea Archiesdad!

Does Wednesday 18th June suit everyone - thought it wouldn't be too short notice and half term will be out of the way so we won't have to share the park with lots of bigger kids.

We could meet near Cafe Cha cha cha and hide inside if the weather is pooey (scrummy carrot cake the last time I was there :) ) It's also near the park entrance nearest the tube for any travellers who might not know the layout so well.

I already know of two other BLWers not on this forum who would like to come. One has a 10month old and the other a 15 month old and another child who I think is five. Would be nice for some 'been there, done that' advice.

Feel free to say if a different date is better and we will go with what works for the majority.

Mini Munchkin has a swimming lesson on a Wed in Borehamwood, but we are finished by 12:20ish, so could with luck be at the park by 1ish.

Gummy Babies Picnic

Postby Jelly Belly » 28 May 2008, 08:16

Does anyone object to a little notice going up in Cha Cha Cha (if they will let us) announcing the meet to catch people who don't come on the forum - the crazy mad fools! A friend mentioned it might be nice to call it the "Gummy Babies Picnic"

hey all. I'm new here and I have to admit that I'm not doing the whole BLW exclusively (I feel like a fraud!) but I'd love to come along if that's ok?

I have a friend who's HV has suggested BLW to her as her little one is apparently a prime candidate! I think she'd like to come too.

Would everyone be ok with a change of date? Wednesday 25th June - sorry for the change, but providing you can all make the following week, no one will be left out.

A whole extra week before we can meet each other!

I have only just introduced myself on the 'Introduce yourself' forum....
I am currently based in Lincs, but am moving Watford way before the end of the year.
May I crash your gathering/picnic, please? Would be great to meet you all!
Also, my sister lives in Watford just by the park: I can highly recommend Cafe Cha Cha Cha - and the playground!
