possible Glasgow meet, 18 Nov?

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

possible Glasgow meet, 18 Nov?

Postby busmother » 02 Nov 2011, 13:59

I have to be at the in-laws in Wishaw on the evening of Fri 18th Nov, so was vaguely wondering if anyone might be interested in a Glasgow meet up that afternoon? Perhaps we could go to the famous Mono for lunch? Happy to stick with the traditional 11am meet if that suits people better, but a bit later would mean I didn't have to be quite so organised first thing in the morning.

Nearly missed this! Sounds good to me. Later on is fine too- Just say when is best for you.

I was going to post for a possible Edinburgh meet next week actually. I think I'll be coming through Fri 11th to deliver some calendars to a couple of shops, but still waiting to hear from one so couldn't confirm it.

I am still desperate to meet up with you all but Im working late that Friday! :(

Hopefully I can make the next meet. Asking to go part time at work tomorrow for January so that should help a bit.

Ooh exciting. I was just going to bump this, but thinking everyone would be busy doing other things. Now I know it's a goer, I'll talk to my SIL who works in Glasgow and might be able to travel back with me (Wishaw station not being particularly buggy friendly) in which case later might be good. Otherwise I'd probably rather do the Glasgow-Wishaw leg before rush hour, in which case maybe 12 would be good. I'll get back to you. And good luck with the part-time, Splash, it would be lovely to meet you. Where are you delivering to in Edinburgh, Disco?

Might actually Try pop over Wed afternoon if I hear back from one in time - in which case I would jst be in and out quickly so I could get back in time for pre rush hour. Sorry this is all a bit vague. I'll defo see you next week though!

Looks like SIL can get away from work quite early, so can we say 12noon for the 18th? I suggested Mono as it was where was originally suggested last time, but I've never been there so feel free to suggest somewhere better. Froglips - I've been given a bag of stuff by a friend and in among the big clothes there's a rather nice looking snow-suit aged 6m (though it looks huge). Would you like it?

Hey- I am still going to try and make it, but I need to confirm with DH what he is doing. It may not be possible as I am snowed under with work and I would need him to come with me to watch the kids on the train so I can get some things done. I would have been ok, but I've had to take a day of rest due to repetitive strain.

fingers crossed!! (and DC, I still want a calendar, so if I am not there, I'll paypal you!)

FL - if it's crochet work you need to do, If you've got any half-done hats that don't need anything complicated doing to them you could bring them along and I'd be happy to help - we could have a little crochet bee whie our children play happily at our feet (well, maybe). I've got some slightly fiddly stuff I've been carrying round for weeks on the off chance I'll get a moment to do some, but if it's just going round and round, it's a bit more manageable. Oh, and what did you think about the snowsuit?
