Yorkshire autumn meet???

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Yes i'm furthest north, the most northern part of the county, but Leeds was an ok drive, so Thorpe Perrow is very do-able. Xplore soft play would be a little more difficult TBH.

The Mum of one of DD1's nursery friends said they often went to the soft play in Boroughbridge (Treasure Island, it's just off the A1M). I've not been there myself but it might be an option - anyone been?

I'd be up for a meet. Thorpe Perrow would be lovely with the autumn leaves at the mo, and it's close to my parents so I could combine the trips. But I'd also be happy for a meet at a soft play/near a motorway junction.

I work on Monday/Tuesday, but that seems popular with a lot of people. I am self employed so could always just take a day off! Just don't tell DH

Any of us Sheffielders - technically I think I'm the furthest south in Sheffield - or Fothers is even further south than us, just over the border into Derbyshire.
TBH, Squeak's not a fan of car journeys so I'd need to give serious thought to how far I could take her. Somewhere like Thorpe Perrow, for example, would be totally impossible :(

Update to my availability, in 3 weeks time I'll be more free, starting mat leave early.... How soon do we want to do this, obviously weather is only likely to get worse!

NM I'd probably be up for xplore at some point, not too far for us.

A Wednesday at Xplore sounds good - Stompy would love it (could maybe do Mon or Thurs, but Wed is the day Stompy is off preschool, so that would suit us best).
Not the week beginning Mon 7th though as mum is here then.

I feel your pain!! DS2 HATES the car. He's getting better (or that's what I tell myself!!) but there's no way I'm getting in a car with him on my own to go anywhere that's over an hour away!!!

As for a day to go - Thursday suits us best as it's Tiglet's day off Pre-School but if it has to be on another day he'll just have to have the day off!!!! (I'd feel too mean if I didn't bring him!)

Hadn't been on the meet up section till you just mentioned it angelwaves! Would love to join in with the meet up! Xplore would be good for us, it's just over an hour away. We could do Monday (until I start work), Wednesday or Thursday. Wednesday or Thursday would be better. I'd not be able to do Tuesday or Friday as DS2 has portage those mornings so couldn't miss that.

I am hanging back from this one since I am 38 weeks pregnant! Once you know a date and if it is at a soft play area after I have popped I may be brave and try and join you :bsmile :)

I will keep an eye on the dates.
