Bromley, Kent or nearby??

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

Bromley, Kent or nearby??

Postby Mumintraining » 04 Oct 2011, 09:59

Hi all,
I have lovely groups of NCT/ local buddies... But am the only one doing BLW.
Baby bear (7mths) was EBF too and I'm a bit of a lone ranger on that one too.
Anyone local with experience of either/both fancy meeting up at some point.
I find I steer away from both subjects with other mums for fear of sounding preachy... But I am such a fan of both approaches!
(I do like to talk about other things too though :) ! )
Cheers

Hi there, I feel in very much the same position! I did try converting a few NCT buddies, but only semi-succeeded :?

Plus, my in-laws live in Bromley - we are always popping round.

Would be lovely to meet you x

Quite a few of us in Kent. I don't know where is good in the cold - usually we go to sevenoaks. Anyone got anywhere good to go that's warm? I'd love a meet up before I go back to work!

Darn it... I have only just seen these replies!
(Maybe I need to change my settings or something so I'm notified? I stopped checking after a few weeks)
If there are still Kentish folks up for a hot chocolate somewhere, then let's get on it.
Sevenoaks isn't too far for us (and it has good junk in the charity shops too :) )

Yes let's! How about one Tuesday or Friday afternoon in Sevenoaks?
Or if anyone knows of a softplay place near there? I've not ventured to one yet as R is not independently mobile yet.

Ooh. Have you set a date yet? I love a good charity shop rummage and can pick up Rah's birth pool at the same time!

There is a soft play in Tonbridge called Wearthemout i've never been - there is also one opposite Frant Station called Minor Mania that is very good for ALL ages - not that close to Sevenoaks though. Or Manic monsters in Edenbridge which is remote and i'm not a big fan.
Tuesday afternoons good for me.

Sorry wrote above in a "child waking up" panic so sorry it seem brusk - the weather is so limiting this time of year (looks out window at snow falling) there maybe be a toddler activity at the leisure centre we could do and then cafe after - i'll check.

Forgot to say, I am away next week so can do the 14th or 21st. Tuesday is a nursery day so I'll have a think about whether I come "stag" or not!

I'm easy, can do any day, though would rather avoid Mondays and Wednesdays.
Those places are all quite a drive from me, but if they suit everyone we will happily go to either :)

Would love to join you one Friday, or Thursday but I work the rest. There's no soft play in Sevenoaks as such aPart from some very good toddler sessions at the leisure centre but hard to mix sports hall and coffee. Stag theatre coffee shop is spacious and has toys and book. What are our numbers?
