Cambridge meet up? 31/8 or 1/9

Some of us get together from time to time in order to talk about the latest issue of Heat magazine, global politics, important developments in lipstick manufacture and, er, Baby-Led Weaning.

I'm in Cambridge, but both of those days are difficult for us unfortunately.

If you walk through the Botanicals they will charge you mucho dosh :D

The Trumpington park and ride stops nearly opposite T's school and you can walk across the fields to Lammas Land.

£4 to go in to Botanicals, no charge for the kids when I went last month. :)

Hmm, maybe I am misunderstanding. I thought the idea was just to use Botanical Gardens as a walk through. If so, I am not sure I would pay £4 just to walk through as a short cut as it is not that much of a short cut and if your child is on bike or scooter they are not allowed to bike or scoot through. In fact may not be a short cut at all.

If coming from Rail Station on foot to Lammas Land, it is left out of Station Rd, cross rd, right into Brooklands Ave, cross rd at end, follow cyle/foot path over fields and 2 foot/cycle bridges to Lamas Land playground and paddling pool.

Through Botannical gardens route - right at end of Station Rd, cross road, back track to entrance of Botanical garden, walk through, exit garden and walk left to get to same crossing of rd as at end of Brooklands Ave and then as above.

But as a trip in itself the garden is very nice.

I was just going to use it as we enjoyed it last time, I'm not enforcing Botanical Gardens on anybody. ;)

We didn't settle on a day but I think B&M was going to try and come if it was n the 1st? I'm happy with either days as I want to pop to John Lewis too for school shoes and I promised Joe a return trip to the Sedgwick to see the dinosaurs.

Nobody seems to be able to make it for certain so I was just going to post about it too!

I think we will probably not come as I've just totted up how much I still need to fork out on school uniform so going to have to bite the bullet and buy Clarks shoes for Joe or go to Colchester.

Will definitely be making a trip in the October hols for Christmas pressies though so maybe we can arrange lunch and a museum or something then?

Sounds good to me!

Should we try to pencil in a date now before people get booked up with pesky real life things?!
