Cambridge meet up? 31/8 or 1/9

Hello, well we went to Cambridge yesterday and loved it. So Joe has begged me to take him again soon. What with my op and recovery time I won't be able to get there again until The last week in August.

So, I was wondering if any of the Cambridge BLWers (or nearby), fancy meeting up? I was thinking Weds 31 Aug or Thurs 1 Sept?

Our plan is to head the the Museum of Zoology and then go on to Lammas Land, so if anyone is io for meeting at Lammas Land for picnic and fun then let me know!

How far is it from the station? We might come along, as far as I know either date is ok so far.

The directions on Google maps say 30 mins, but you can walk through the Botanic Gardens to break it up a bit.

We will probably make this one! Cambridge is just up the road for us and easy by bus or car
Either day is ok for us.

Anyone know about parking near Lammas Land? Might be better than the train if it's a 30 min walk. Hm.

Wonder if there's a bus from the station?

We will be heading to Milton Rd afterwards so I'll need a bus as yesterday we did about 7 miles in total, poor Joe was exhausted but bless him, he didnt complain once!

there is a free car park at lammas land but you practically have to get there at dawn to get a space if it's good weather.

you could probably find parking somewhere in newnham?

buses won't get you from the station to there, you'd have to go into town first - some buses come from near the station, then turn off and go down brooklands ave then head out of town, there's a bus stop on the corner of brooklands ave/trumpington rd - hat'd be the closest you'd get.

I'm 99% sure it goes into town via trumpington rd rather than hills rd.

Ooh, ooh! We might be able to do this too. We're not far from Cambridge, driving best probably so would have to figure out parking. Or park and ride, dd would probably like that!!

Have you decided on a day? If 1/9 I could try & get my Cambridge BLW friend to come along and I'd drive up and get the bus from her place...
