Which cookbook to get?

Best high chair? (We all know it's the Ikea one really but refusniks will bring us tales of Tripp-Trappery and booster seats). Have you discovered an excellent finger food snack, toothbrush, bib or more importantly A Lipstick That Really Does Stay On?

Which cookbook to get?

I know there is a good Nigel Slater one. I found:

Real Fast Food and The 30 Minute Cook.

I am making my xmas list. Which one is best or is it muck or nettles?

I suppose I could ask for both...

I've had a culinary burst of energy this week - well, 3 out of 5 dinners, that counts as a burst for me!
I have been using the 30 minute cook...because it actually does what it says on the tin. My pet hate is recipes that give times, when you actually spend 3 times as long as that making the sodding thing - because they don't allow for cack-handed chopping/peeling etc etc.

And last night's chorizo & chickpea stew was lovely, and done in about 20 mins actually.

I also like Nigel Slater because he cooks real food, with things you're likely to have in your cupboard, or would normally buy.
