Books or videos about knights?

Best high chair? (We all know it's the Ikea one really but refusniks will bring us tales of Tripp-Trappery and booster seats). Have you discovered an excellent finger food snack, toothbrush, bib or more importantly A Lipstick That Really Does Stay On?

Books or videos about knights?

Postby Treeb » 07 May 2016, 05:53

Does anyone know of any good books or videos with stories/legends about knights? It seems all the stories we have for L that mention knights at all are from the point of view of dragons, and he therefore has the idea that knights are "bad guys." He often will start play fighting and will announce something like "I'm the enemy. I'm a knight!" Or "I'm a knight. I'm bad!" And he won't quite believe us that knights were generally meant to be the good guys.

Lol. Do you get Mike The Knight over there. Think it might be CBeebies so probably not but can you watch BBC iplayer online

I'm sure there are actually much better examples but we're watching CBeebies ATM so that's what sprung to mind

Mike The Knight is what I thought too - I'm pretty sure it's Canadian so chances are pretty high it would be over there?

I think they show Mike the Knight on Treehouse channel, if you have that? We can't get cable at the moment so it's been a while since I saw it though. I assumed it was American, didn't know it was Canadian!

There is a King Arthur picture book by Marcia Williams. There is also Robin Hood by same author. More factual fun than story books, but good.

Thanks ches and mummybear, I'll look into both of those. He tends to like factual books, so that may be a good option.
