Deodorant?

Best high chair? (We all know it's the Ikea one really but refusniks will bring us tales of Tripp-Trappery and booster seats). Have you discovered an excellent finger food snack, toothbrush, bib or more importantly A Lipstick That Really Does Stay On?

Deodorant?

Postby FestiveTidings » 20 Jul 2014, 18:52

With the lovely warm weather we've had over the past week or so I have realised that my deodorants don't work. By the end of the day I stink.

I don't mind being sweaty but smelling is a no no.

I've never smelled before.

Which deodorant / anti-persperant do you use?

I use triple dry (roll on, not stick - the stick was useless). It's probably terrible for me but I sweat A LOT even at the best of times (damp hands, sopping wet feet). And since, I started using roll in triple dry, I don't sweat under my arms and also don't smell. It's amazing. I used to ruin tops quite quickly and nothing. Nothing at all.

I've also recently started using that pm and I think it's made a real difference. I also sweat a lot, even in the winter, and go through tops like nothing else. Don't even dare wear white usually. But even in this heat it has been so much better!

I used to use one called perspirex but it irritated my skin a bit.

It's magic. At first I thought it was just cooler I started using the stick in the winter And switched to the roll on in march ish but even in this heat, no sweat, no smell and even if I forget to apply it one evening, I'm still fine the next day. Try to work up the courage to try applying every other night but I'm waiting for it to cool down a bit because I'm so happy at the lack of wet patches and smell!

I use Sure, which is pretty good. I don't know if my sweat levels are average or what, but I hate being sweaty. Might have to try the triple dry, which I see is currently half price at Boots :)

I might try sure first. Half price at boots is fine but I'm not sure I can afford a £6 deodorant. I usually by whatever is on offer at asda!

How long dies triply dry last? I mean the roll on - roughly how many days do you get?

For me it's a no-brainer, I was wrecking tops very fast and I'm not now. Tops are more expensive than even this deodorant. :)

I am currently trying Pitrok after (I think) a recommendation on here and it works much better for me than Sure which I used before (or what was on good offer..)

True. I'm not at that stage yet though! If I was it would be a done deal :)

That's why I was working out the cost per use :)

Too many smilies. :)

I use mitchum advanced roll on. It has been brilliant.

I forgot to take it on a weekend away a few months ago and bought a sure one and in comparison it was hopeless.

I would rather buy more expensive deodorant and not sweat/smell/ruin my clothes!

Can you use triple dry on hands and feet? I have very sweaty extremities (had surgery to stop it when I was in my teens, but was only partly effective) and would love something to prevent it.

I use Sure which is about £5, and I find it effective for sweating...but I've ruined so many tops because of the yellow stain, plus it can go 'clumpy' when applied, so then I'm dropping little white balls everywhere that end up smearing into the floor. I'd just assumed all the expensive ones would be the same so stuck with the devil I knew. I'm gonna get me some Triple Dry and try that...thanks for the thread FT!
