Mine didn't have any immediate reaction (Munchie didn't have any reaction at all). Pickle had a rash start around 7 days after the jab, accompanied by a cough, which turned into a cold. (which she gave to me, which I gave to DH, which he gave to Munchie and then developed a chest infection, which he's on his 4th round of anti-b's for. Munchie then passed her cold back to me, which I still have and have sinusitis. I gave it back to Pickle who also developed a chest infection. So 6 weeks of illness from 1 little MMR!!!!!!!) Sorry!!!

La-la-la-I'm not listening! I guess I shouldn't ask the question if I don't want to hear the answer!

I am going to choose to believe that the cough and subsequent infections have nothing to do with the vaccination. Fact is, she's got to have it, so I guess I'll just have to see what happens :-)

No side effects with my two here. Not even a slight temp. Cried for a minute after the jab but that was it.

No, I don't think the infections have anything to do with it!!!! It was just a snowball effect (which I am fed up with!!!!!)

Rash, cough and cold are all normal. Forgive my ranting!

Hope it went well and she doesn't have any ill effects!!!!!

Hope you and your bunch kick the bugs soon, HF... Imms went fine - I took a bunny for her to cuddle, a new little Playmobil toy as a 'yay, brave girl' present and a mini bag of Haribo. The latter wasn't needed, as she was rewarded with a sticker and a Kinder chocolate bar :-S Mixed messages much?!!?! :-/ I wonder if that isn't a nurse initiative rather than a practice-agreed strategy...
We went to see a friend afterwards, but her daughter started running a temp of 39, so chances are we'll both come down with something soon anyway. Boo. Luckily, I bought about 400 boxes of Kleenex Balsam tissues (£2 for 2) in Waitrose. Pessimist, moi? Probs.

We're lucky here, our kids have never had any side effects from any vaccinations at all. Best of luck with yours!
