Help?

For the label-readers amongst us, a place to marvel at food manufacturers' ability to add milk powder to everything.

Help?

Postby Melinda_Jane » 06 May 2012, 23:38

I gave my almost 7 month old a taste of some geek yogurt I was eating a few days ago and straight away she came up with a red rash on her chin/cheeks that had tiny little "flea" like bites/dots on the rash.
She seemed fine and it went away but is this a big sign that she may be allergic to dairy?

Yes, it is. It sounds like hives. That is exactly what happened when my son touched some greek yoghurt at 8 months.
Can you get to a GP? Not sure what the procedure is where you are, but here, we were referred to a Paed who sent us for skin prick tests and then referred us on to an Allergist.

Im from Australia, and thank you!!
Tomorrow we go in for her 6 month vaccinations so I will tell our GP.
Was your child allergic? or could it be an intolerance?
