salt eating argh!!!!!

Oh, we're done with all that vegetable-steaming and mess, our children are cutlery-wielding, spaghetti-chomping angels... at least some of the time.

I would not have thought that each sachet would contain that much? I would say just lots of fluids and keep an eye. There are probably some kids who eat that amount in a day thru crisps, cheese etc!

Dylan has tipped salt right out of the shaker into his mouth before :? he didn't like the taste, thankfully, so that put him off doing it again! I just kept an eye on him and made sure he had plenty of fluids, but he seemed alright afterwards. Kids are weird, hey?

He's had lots of beakers of weak juice and gone for a nap, think I'll keep him totally salt free for a day or two, no bread or store bought stuff. We don't eat a lot of salt as week cook from scratch and being a blw mama I obsess over salt content still.

I'm glad he seems OK. I think doodlesmummy is right, some children would eat that much salt as part of their normal diet on an almost daily basis through things like crisps and stuff.. A salt-free couple of days sounds like a good plan.. and hide the salt maybe?!

WTS, the best thing for a wee salt overdose is lots of water...

DP found this out after making himself ill eating home made beef jerky with 4x the recommended amount of sakt < hold head in hands>
