What do you offer before bedtime?

We offer weetabix (or other cereal) or toast and peanut butter with a cup of milk.

I remember being given roast with melted cheese on top.

What do you give your LO's before bedtime?

Not at all. roo doesn't ever eat loads at dinner which is usually at 5:30 so he looks for a snack about 6:30 which happens to be before bed.

Just my memories of cheese on toast and giving roo cereal made me wonder what others had before bed.

Mine have dinner at 5 or 5:30 (depending on whether they're having a bath after), then pretty much straight after that or after the bath then jarmies, teeth, stories, bed by 7. No time for anything else.

Erm, dinner!

We eat at 6 so that OH can join us then it's jammies, boob, stories and bed by just after 7.

I used to have cereal or toast when I was at home as my mum always had dinner really early.

Mine have something on Nursery days because tea there is at 3:30/4. J has a bit of yoghurt (mainly for purposes of his medicine) then a bottle of milk. He has the last two nights had a homemade gingerbread man too though  It's calories!! D has a range of things eg crackers and cheese, toat and jam, dry cheerios, whatever we've baked. Plus his funsize chocolate if he's done a poo that day and no poo accidents  I'm a terrible mummy aren't I!!!

On nursery days when she eats her tea at 4.30, she'll have Yoghurts, fruit or a bowl of cereal and a drink. On days at home we eat our dinner together at 5.30 and that's it until the morning.

I have been pondering giving her a warm milky drink like ovaltine as she recently went through a phase of waking in the night or early in the morning saying her tummy felt funny, but she wasn't ill so I assumed it was hunger. We used to have ovaltine some nights before teeth and bed, but I'm not sure of the sugar content.

cheese and crackers. I read on a webmd article that cheese before bed was good for sleeping. That and nuts, but she's allergic to nuts. I started the snack when we night-weaned, and she slept through the night the first time she had the snack. If we eat dinner very late, I skip it to save time.

I nurse her after her bedtime snack and then we brush teeth.

I don't either - but babydsMummy - not terrible at all, bribery works! Especially where poo in concerned.

Currently nothing - mouse doesn't need it any more, and hamster doesn't yet. We had a phase where mouse was waking in the night hungry and I wanted to night wean, so stoked him up with a mug of milk and rice cakes at bed time. It was also part of making sure he could go to bed the same with daddy when he couldn't bf.

Nothing here too but we eat tea at 5.30 to 6pm and they both have a decent sized meal. Once a week H will have a banana but that's her only option as I hate crumbs in beds ;-)

Tea is 5.30 - 6.00 here too, then pretty much straight up for a bath after tea, so nothing here either!
