Are we still allowed to be here if.....

Oh, we're done with all that vegetable-steaming and mess, our children are cutlery-wielding, spaghetti-chomping angels... at least some of the time.

Are we still allowed to be here if.....

Postby UnhappyRightFoot » 18 Oct 2012, 23:17

Munchie asks daddy to feed her her pasta. And he does!!!!!

(she's 2 years, 4 months and 26 days old).

Agreed. She's asking for it. She opens her mouth for it and I'm sure when she says or indicates that she's had enough, he stops. Fine in my opinion! We do this sometimes. And we're giving a lot of loaded forks at the moment

You can stay if I can! TheWriggler insisted that I feed him his breadsticks and hummus yesterday. TheBean was tucking in with gusto but my 3 year old needed help!

Oh good, glad I'm not the only one. My 3y7mo will only eat vegetable soup/baked beans if I feed him. I'm too tired to get into arguments with him and he won't eat very much as it is so I'm just glad he's eating something.

But

You can definitely stay! A few of us have already confessed to occasionally spoon feeding our toddlers! www.babyledweaning.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 79#p435318 How come the babies never need spoon feeding but the toddlers do?!

I've changed my signature to acknowledge this ....!
Mummy to 3 scrumptious BLWers, who sometimes rebel + ask for spoonfeeding (2007, 2010, 2013). Antilop chair, slings, cloth nappies, no steam mop but awaiting permission for special handshake which probably involves porridge.

Yay! Can I come out of the closet now too?

I spoonfeed Froglet if she's tired or if we're having yoghurt. I never force her though - the spoon is held close by and she gets it if she leans forward for it! She also gets the spoon near the end of the yoghurt to have a go herself. She's def getting better at scooping but yoghurt is still pretty tricky.
