He won't eat pasta anymore!

Oh, we're done with all that vegetable-steaming and mess, our children are cutlery-wielding, spaghetti-chomping angels... at least some of the time.

He won't eat pasta anymore!

In fact anything that involves chewing is refused.

We eat tomes of pasta and I don't remember Em going through this stage but molars are breaking through and I am wondering if gums soften and or are sore?

He would only eat bread products, fruit and rice cakes if he had a chance?

Am I alone?

Funny, cause Arlo won't eat bread because it involves chewing but will eat pasta. Mind you he does tend to swallow pasta whole.

Very similar here re will only eat fruit and bread stuff at the moment! Does have moments of other bits of stuff (and even ate bit of meat today which is practically unheard of) but we're definitely past the will-try-everything stage.

Jiglet stopped eating pasta for over a year... She ate some the night before her first birthday but was sick later on, and wouldn't touch it for ages. She loves it again now, as long as it's 'yellow pasta', with no sauce :?

Fingers crossed it's a short phase for you...

Have you tried different-shaped pasta? T has been refusing pasta recently, but today in the store I gave her the choice of which shape to buy. She went for farfalle (she calls them bows), which we don't normally get, and her entire portion disappeared in a matter of minutes at teatime today.

We've just been through this but with meat. Lasted about 4 months. Last Friday, 3 teeth cut through (1 bottom front and 2 upper middle (not sure of they are classed as molars but they are grinding teeth)). Saturday morning my son turned into a carnivore again and is eating meat like its going out of fashion. Pasta (his staple while off meat) doesn't get a look in any more!

I would say just ride with it and it will pass.
