LO go off meat when teething?

Oh, we're done with all that vegetable-steaming and mess, our children are cutlery-wielding, spaghetti-chomping angels... at least some of the time.

LO go off meat when teething?

Postby FestiveTidings » 20 Feb 2012, 11:55

Roo is teething :-( and has gone off chewy meat like pork loin or beef steak or even the old too well cooked sausage. He's fine with soft meats like sausages (properly cooked by DH not burnt to a cinder by me), mince and chicken to an extent. Sometimes he wont eat the meat at all and just goes for the veg and carbs. Is it the teething that's doing this?

He's always been such a blood thirsty carnivore its quite disconcerting!

Teething can do strange things to a LO's appetite... Go with it and let him lead the way. When M is ill or was teething, he'd go off pretty much everything but milk and protein, then would carb-load as he recovered. They're all different but they know what they need!

Cheers Skip. Roo seems to be surviving on milk, cherry tomatoes, yoghurt, pears and pasta at the moment. He has a temp now too so hoping this tooth makes an appearnce soon!!
