How many "my baby's not eating" threads are there

Oh, we're done with all that vegetable-steaming and mess, our children are cutlery-wielding, spaghetti-chomping angels... at least some of the time.

Sometimes they are just not hungry.

I can't see why some people (dare I say, of our parents' generation usually?) are so keen to make children eat when they aren't hungry - surely it's just setting up totally the wrong relationship with food. As long as they're not just filling up with un-nutritious stuff between meals, I think it's good that they don't want to eat for eating's sake!

I'm going to ask that standard question.. IS IT TEETH?! Jellybaby's appetite goes totally out of the window when she's teething. (See my other thread). And she's also having a phase of sitting there opening her mouth for me to put the spoon in when normally she'd be snatching it out of my hand, but then often she bats it away or closes her mouth anyway. When there's no spoon she looks at her food as if i've put a pile of dog poo in front of her, then cries and bashes it. And it's taken me about three days to figure out that it's teeth.
jellybaby (Abby) will be 1 on 29th April!! She's still titchy though :)
