Late starters at 9 months

Hi all,

I've been doing a mix of spoon feeding and BLW with my 9 month twins but want to go all BLW as my son is frustrated with the spoon!
Anyone else start late on?
Any tips?
I make all food myself and love to get as much good stuff in as possible!
Thank you

Hi Lauren,
Depending on how much spoon feeding you are doing versus how much real food they are currently eating I would think you could just gradually phase out the spoon feeding. When you say you've been doing some BLW have you been sharing your meals with your LOs or just offering them 'finger foods' alongside the spoon feeding? If you cook from scratch anyway, moving to sharing your meals with the LOs will be pretty easy. You just have to watch the salt content and cut things in a way your LO's can handle. There are some good tips in "getting started" in the tabs at th top of the page and although it's aimed at weaners starting out I'm sure you'll find some useful stuff for your situation too.
