Bread spreads?

Postby cappuccino » 04 Nov 2015, 22:15

Not sure if I should post this here or in the recipes forum, but any ideas for anything low-salt (and low-sugar) I can put on bread?
So far I have:
- mashed banana
- mashed avocado
- home-made spreads like hummus and aubergine dip
- organic peanut butter (and other nut butters)
- apple butter
- I found a cottage cheese with low salt content...

Sardines (not more than once a week)
Tahini (apparently has lots of iron in it)
Cream cheese (messy)
But sounds like you've got a pretty good list there.
